Planning your Tree Farm Visit
Open the Friday after Thanksgiving Until the weekend before Christmas
Friday & Saturdays 9 AM - Dark (about 5 PM) Sundays Noon - - Dark (About 5 PM) Weekdays available for scheduled groups.
Visit Cypress Springs Tree & Berry Farm for your "Fun-of-the-Year" traditional Christmas event, or just come out here for a relaxing day in the country.
From Thanksgiving to Christmas we are set up for holiday fun. Large wooden cut-outs of Christmas characters are a new attraction this year. (Bring your camera for a picture with the kids.) The old Tractor is ready for hay rides or pulling a wagon with built-in benches. (Watch the weather and bring jackets or lap blankets, if needed.) The park is ready for action, and a campfire is prepared for your cook-out picnic. New this year is a steel pavilion over the picnic tables. (Bring your own cooking utensils & food supplies. We have a few roasting sticks available for hot dogs or marshmallows.) Our Craft Cabin & General Store offers canned sodas, bottled water, snacks, and Christmas goodies for sale, as well as a variety of gift items. Rest room facilities can be found near the park and near the parking lot.
Friday, Saturday, and Sunday the farm is running "full steam" and is open to the general public. Hours are 9 AM - Dark on Friday and Saturday. On Sunday, the wagons roll from Noon to Dark. (That's a farmer's way of using every minute of daylight. During Christmas season it gets dark between 5 - 5:30.) Tractor-pulled wagons carry customers and their trees between the parking lot and the tree fields, courtesy of the farm. Come out and join the fun!
Monday through Thursday are reserved for scheduled groups. School field trips generally fill up the morning hours and some afternoons. Small groups may also be scheduled on Fridays. Public school classes, private schools, pre-school day cares, church groups, community organizations, and family gatherings are all welcome to schedule a group tour. A picnic area, selected activities and park facilities, and your choice of a bench wagon tour or hayride around the farm will be reserved for your group event. The cost of this customized tour service is $4.00 per person. Groups range from 10 to 20 persons to classes of over 100 school children. During Christmas tree season, the minimum group tour is $24.00 with two or more small groups possibly being scheduled at the same time. To schedule your group, call 903-860-2588.
Christmas tree customers are also welcome on Monday through Thursday afternoons, but please call ahead for availability of a wagon and driver to help with your tree.
Our facilities are available throughout the year for your church group, family gathering, birthday parties, and more. Rates vary according to the activities desired. For scheduling, call 903-860-2588, preferably at least 2 weeks in advance.
Blueberry season is generally the month of June. Berries were good this year, but the size of our patch is small at this time. Please call for availability of berries next May/June.
